She's back, July 2005!!

Last July, 2004, an American Robin built a nest on my porch and raised her babies and I was able to capture it all from day one to the day of flight. You can visit the photos and movies with the link below for 2004.

Now again, roughly around the same time, July 2005, A Robin has built a nest in a tree right beside my porch. I'd say the eggs have been there for roughly 5, 6 days. There are only 2 eggs this time. I don't think it's the same female as she's quite a bit thinner then the one last year. Maybe she's an off-spring ;)

I am sad to say that either the mom abandoned her nest or something happened to her. She has not returned for many days now. One egg was cracked open as well. :( So there is no story to share this year. Check back next year. I think this Robin may have decided she picked too busy an area. They will normally lay 4 eggs, 1 a day, but she's been missing nearly 6 days now and only the two remain, one being broken.
